Auctions Report on Sale of Land 25th July 2018 Halls Bishops Castle held a most successful property auction last Friday evening. On offer was an excellent block of accommodation land which extends to 56 acres of permanent pasture, lying in the Camlad Valley between Bishops Castle and Churchstoke. The land was available as one lot, with direct road access and natural water supplies including a duck pond. Divided into conveniently sized enclosures, it is suitable for grazing all types of livestock and has potential for amenity and recreational uses. David Bryan-Jones MRICS auctioneer and office manager, conducted proceedings on the night with some splendid bidding from those present in the room. Eventually, the hammer fell at a most pleasing £450,000 to a local land owner. This equates to just over £8,000 per acre which in the current climate of Brexit uncertainty, is considered a great success.
