Crew Green housing development opportunity up for grabs

24th May 2018

Land with planning consent for eight homes in the beautiful countryside just across the Welsh border has been placed on the market.

The site is currently used as agricultural land and is located at the edge of the village of Crew Green - central to Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Welshpool and is being sold through Halls Commercial with an asking price of offers in the region of £400,000.

James Evans, of Halls Commercial, said the development had been approved with a view to creating much-needed housing in the area.

“This land is in an idyllic location and within easy travelling distance of three large market towns. There are excellent communication links beyond that to the West Midlands, North and West Wales, Chester, Liverpool and the North West,” he said.

“It is surrounded by beautiful countryside just over the Welsh border but still only 15 to 20 minutes from Shrewsbury and within walking distance of the local pub and village school.

“Brynhafren County Primary is an excellent school, built in 1962 and extended since with some amazing features for the children to enjoy. There is also Little Bryn Nursery which caters for youngsters aged two to five years.

“The new development is situated on the edge of Crew Green about 11 miles from Shrewsbury, 12 from Oswestry and 10 from Welshpool. It will be accessed directly off the B4393 via a new access-way in line with the planning consent already granted for the site.

“The local authority has approved planning permission for eight residential homes, three three-bedroomed and five four-bedroomed houses to meet the needs within the community.

“These will be highly desirable homes and we anticipate a lot of interest in this land now it has come onto the market. The site is about 1.7 acres (0.693 hectares) in size and is being converted from agricultural use.

“This is an excellent opportunity to buy an attractive well-located residential development site in breathtaking surroundings.”
